If you're full-time, you get holiday pay.

If you're part-time, you get none.

However, since it is a holiday, you do get time-and-a-half.

That's federally mandated and not a whim that can be taken away like the holiday pay part-timers used to get more than just the two holidays per year.

Time and a half isn't actually federally mandated - until I worked in HR (not at Kmart, btw), I thought it was too. It's just a nice thing to do, but it's not required.

Yeah, if you're part time, no holiday pay. You'll also probably end up working the least desired shift during the day too, at least in my experience. KMart was a really good company to work for, but they, like most places, have a tendency to blow off part timers. :(
